Aug 21, 2015 (A Wilson) - No prior detail work is reported on the property. Diabase sills are thought to be the most extensive rock type in the area ranging in thickness from 1 or 2 meters to over 200 meters. The claim group is thought to host diabase rock suitable for high specification aggregate; the surface expression of which forms a 20 meter high northeast trending escarpment south east of the town of Armstrong.
Aug 21, 2015 (A Wilson) - Laboratory testing confirms a sample bulk density of 2.94 that is well in excess of minimum specification of 2.60. Similarly L.A. Abrasion Loss of 13.5 %, 0.429 % Absorption and Magnesium Sulphate loss of 0.7 are all within main line ballast specifications. No deleterious materials were noted in Petrographic test, nor were sulphides or other leachable material noted in the field.
