Lithology Comments

Aug 31, 2015 (Therese Pettigrew) - DDHs STR21-022 and STR22-023 to 027 were collared near the massive to semi-massive quartz veining that was of interest in the 2009 sampling program carried out by Benton. These holes consisted predominantly of medium- to coarse grained, heavily hematized granite along with a coarse grained tonalite (Pettigrew, 2022).

Mineralization Comments

Aug 31, 2015 (Therese Pettigrew) - Gold mineralization is found within a sulphide mineralized quartz system that trends generally to the northeast and dips subvertically. The quartz vein is pyrite mineralized with up to 5% coarse-grained pyrite in localized sections. Localized sections of fine-grained and blebby galena (up to 2-5%) is found associated with pyrite and tends to result in higher concentrations of gold and silver. There is also a presence of fine grained molybdenite in localized sections of the vein (1-5%) but correlation to gold/silver concentrations is not evident. Highlights of the 2010 trenching program includes 2.92 g/t Au over 1 m, 0.83 g/t Au over 2 m, and 1.39 g/t Au over 1 m (Clark, 2010). Sulphide mineralization in the granite and tonalite units drilled in DDH STR21-022 to -027 occurs as 0.5-5% fine- to medium-grained disseminated pyrite with variable galena. This was found spatially associated with localized intervals of increased albite-silicate alteration. Visible gold was noted in these areas as very fine-grained inclusions along the contact of cumulophyric pyrite blebs. Massive to semi-massive quartz veining occurred throughout the drill hole and was commonly brecciated with hematite staining occurring at its contacts. DDH STR21-025 returned 0.702 g/t Au over 0.95 m from 14.5 m depth DDH STR21-026 returned 0.709 g/t au over 0.5 m from 107.95 m depth. DDH STR21-022 returned 7.97 g/t Ag over 12.25 m at 4.95 m depth including 105.0 g/t Ag over 0.7 m (Pettigrew, 2022).
