Access Description: The Bedivere Lake gold occurrence is located approximately 130 km northwest of Thunder Bay and 55 km northeast of Atikokan in the Bedivere Lake Area. Access to the claim group is via Highway 11, northwest if Thunder Bay to the Brule Road. Travel along Brule Road for 25 km to the Bedivere Lake boat launch. While traveling along the Brule Road, take the right branch at 7 km (hydro-line), stay to the left at 11.25 km, take the left branch at 17.75 km, take the left branch at 20.8 km, and take the left branch at 23 km. The Bedivere gold occurrence can be accessed by motorized boat or canoe, 5 km west of the boat launch. Four-wheel drive with high clearance is advised as the final 2 km of the bush road to the boat launch is in poor condition.

Exploration History

1980: Airborne Electromagnetic and Total Intensity Magnetic Survey of the Atikokan-Mine Centre Area, Eastern part, Districts of Rainy River and Thunder Bay by Questor Surveys Limited. 1989: Trenching, sampling and assays by Fern Elizabeth Gold Exp. Ltd. 2012: Staking of the property by M. Frymire, A. Schneider and J. Brown, who conducted prospecting and sampling. 2014: prospecting and sampling. 2015: Prospecting, manual stripping, sampling, assays by M. Frymire and A. Schneider. 2016: The prospectors of Traxxin Resources discovered a very high-grade sample near the shore of Bedivere Lake. Benton Resources Inc. optioned the property and carried out prospecting, soil sampling, trenching, an IP survey, and airborne mag and EM surveys. 2017: Benton drilled 21 DDH totalling 1245 m.

Geology Comments

Jul 13, 2016 (Andrew Tims) - The Bedivere Lake Property is underlain by biotite tonalite to granodiorite of the Marmion batholith and the metamorpjosed volcanic, sedimentary and plutonic rocks if the Lac des Milles Lacs greenstone belt (Stone 2005). Mafic metavolcanic rocks, probably xenolithic inclusions, were observed to the west and adjacent to a northeast-trending (020 to 025°) quartz vein structure. The vein system can be traced intermittently for approximately 205 m, ranging from steeply dipping to 60° southeast, due to poor bedrock exposure the width of vein cannot be precisely determined but is estimated to be approximately 2 to 3 m.

Mineralization Comments

Jul 13, 2016 (Andrew Tims) - The southwestern exposure of the vein consist of highly fractured white "bull" quartz (± red hematitic? staining). Approximately 100m northeast of the swamp, the quartz vein varies from glassy white to clear quartz (± carbonate stringers, ± pyrite). 150 m northeast of the swamp the vein develops into a quartz stockwork hosted within a highly foliated, light lime green sericitic rock with associated intense carbonate alteration (±pyrite, fuchsite).

Apr 27, 2018 (Therese Pettigrew) - Grab samples collected by Traxxin Resources in 2016 returned assays up to 41 opt Au (1281 gpt Au). The Traxxin occurrence has been traced on surface for 250 m (Benton Resources Nov 1, 2016 press release). DDH BED-17-001 sampled up to 11.10 gpt Au over 1.0 m from 18.9-19.9 m. DDH BED-17-03 assayed up to 37.30 gpt Au over 1.0 m from 22.7 to 23.7 m (Benton Resources Aug 17, 2017 press release). DDH BED-17-022 assayed 7.65 gpt Au over 1 m from 124.6-125.6 m, and 9.11 gpt Au over 1 m from 129-130 m. DDH BED-18-023 assayed 5.47 gpt Au over 1 m from 37.4-38.4 m (Benton Resources Mar 29, 2018 press release).

Geologist: Dorothy Campbell

Notes: Sampling in 2015 by RGP staff returned gold values ranging from anomalous up to 1.04 g/t Au, 2.63 g/t Au, 4.23 g/t Au and 5.21 g/t Au. All four samples ranging from 1.04 g/t to 5.21 g/t Au, were collected from “bull” white to smoky grey quartz with blebby pyrite, in the vicinity of 15DCBL011 (654256E 5412637N).
