Access Description: Access is via a private cottage access road on the south side of HWY 11 1.5 lk west of the HWY 586 turn off. At the 500 m mark along the access road procceed 150 m @ 330° to the trench.



Exploration History

1944: Lobanor Gold Mines Limited held a 16 claim block on the Hagey-Conacher township boundary and completed 3 drill holes. 1953: Geo-Scientific Prospectors completed a magnetic survey. 1981: Mattagami Lake Exploration completed linecutting, geological mapping, I.P. survey, magnetometer survey and minor soil sampling. 1999: Gertzbein, D'Dilva and Parker completed an prospecting, linecutting, trenching and geological, geophysical and geochemical surveys with trench#17 completed in the same area has the occurrence.

Geology Comments

Sep 29, 2016 (Andrew Tims) - Five shear zones, up to 8 m were identified in a 120 m wide package of strongly deformed, brecciated and altered felsic to mafic volcanics. The rocks display strong carbonate, hematite, ankerite and sericite alteration and 13 samples yielded results above 0.10 g/t Au with a maximum value of 2.61 g/t Au.
