Access Description: Follow Highway 101 west of Timmins approximately 50 km until you reach the Kenogaming Road. Follow this road south keeping to the left until you reach a secondary road just before crossing the Crawford River. Follow this road south about 3 km, towards Lown Lake.

Apr 16, 2018 (P Bousquet) - The clearing is dominated by a quartz-rich granitoid which have been quarried in two pits. The rock seems to be in contact with an ultramafic rock intrusive which appears to the southwest in two trenches.

Apr 16, 2018 (P Bousquet) - The quartz appears in a stockwork. Some iron staining is present, along the edges of the quartz granitoid. Rock samples taken in an assessment report shows from 77.76 to 93.831% SiO2 (T-5321).

Notes: The area shows an aggregate exploitation formed by two pits dug into a quartz granitoid body. The rocks show veining with veins of 1 to 75 cm in thickness. Two trenches were dug in the southwest, exposing ultramafic rocks. One rock exposure immediately to the south of the pits seems to show mafic volcanics with appreciable pyritization. The size of that showing is small and would easily be concealed by ponding. Assays are pending.
