Dec 04, 2018 (Therese Pettigrew) - The Hourglass trench area is underlain by predominantly intermediate pyroclastic deposits (pyroclastic to tuff breccia, lapilli tuff and crystal tuff). Contacts among the pyroclastic units are gradational. The breccia unit, which occupies the northern half of the trench, is seen to be grading southward into the lapilli tuff to tuff units. Subconcordant, narrow (20-30 cm wide), fine-grained intermediate to felsic hypabyssal intrusive rocks (felsite dykes/sills) have intruded the pyroclastic sequences. The Ryne showing (located 450 m SW of the Hourglass Zone, at NAD83 UTM Zone 16 461304 m E, 5557168 m N) is comprised of polymictic conglomerate interbedded with intermediate to felsic lapilli tuff. Narrow (1-8 m wide) mafic to ultramafic sills and dykes are ubiquitous (Assessment File 42L03NW2006).

Dec 04, 2018 (Therese Pettigrew) - A NW-striking, 3-10 m wide, dextral shear/deformation zone occurs at the southern margin of the Hourglass trench. This structure deforms the felsite dyke and host rock. The rocks within the structural zone are strongly iron carbonated, sericitized, pyritized (2-3%) and impregnated by subconcordant, narrow quartz-tourmaline veins. Grab and channel samples taken from the central portion of this zone yielded 1 gpt Au over 2.5 m width. This includes a relatively higher gold value (3.2 gpt Au over 0.5 m) which was yielded by a felsite dyke sample. Visible gold is also noted in the felsite dyke. Two NW-trending, narrow quartz-tourmaline veins, which are situated within the east-central and northwestern parts of the trench, yielded 3.6 gpt Au (sample 8037) and 2.8 gpt (sample 8081) gold respectively. A channel sample returned an assay of 44.2 gpt Au over 2.0 m width (Assessment file 20000000671). A sample collected from the Hourglass trench by Spruce Ridge Resources in 2007 returned an assay of 125.72 gpt Au (Assessment File 20000004346). The Hourglass West Trench is located approximately 200 m NW of and on strike with the Hourglass Showing. The highest gold value obtained to date from the dykes in the West trench is 169.9 gpt Au over 0.5 m (sample 8194). Early work on the Ryne Showing in 1996 was highlighted by a grab sample that returned an assay of 2498 gpt Au from a splashy gold exposure at the centre of the showing. At the Ryne showing, highly deformed and altered mafic schists of probably intrusive origin contain anomalous gold, up to 1.83 gpt Au (sample 5519). The best assay from the Ryne Zone is 5.23 gpt Au over 4.5 m. Other anomalous samples include: 1.42 g/t Au over 2.5 m, 4.58 g/t Au over 1.0 m, 1.00 g/t Au over 4.5 m, 2.19 g/t Au over 1.0 m, 2.50 g/t Au over 1.0 m and 1.94 g/t Au over 3.5 m, 2.44 g/t over 2.5 m (samples 8565-8567 and 8574-8575) and 1.3 g/t over 5.5 m (samples 8231-8240). DDH ONA98-24 returned gold values of 0.20 g/t over 7.5 m (36.0 m-43.5 m), 2.85 g/t over 0.66 m (55.48 m -56.14 m), 0.45 g/t over 1.5 m (85.5 m-87.0 m) and 3.1 g/t over 0.4 m (200.3 m-200.7 m). DDH ONA98-25 returned gold values of 0.58 g/t over 1.4 m (49.4 m-50.8 m), 0.48 g/t over 1.5 m (66.0 m-67.5 m) and 0.70 g/t over 0.8 m (137.5 m-138.3 m). DDH ONA98-26 returned gold values of 1.25 g/t Au over 8.0 m (includes 3.91 g/t over 1.0 m) from 85.0 m-93.0 m, 0.61 g/t over 1.95 m (37.5 m-39.45 m) and 2.1 g/t over 1.5 m (164.5 m-166.0 m). DDH ONA98-29 returned gold values of 34.9 m-36.25 m (0.79 g/t over 1.35 m); 44.75 m-48.70 m (0.46 g/t over 3.95 m); 50.65 m-53.70 m (1.63 g/t over 3.05 m, which also includes 3.09 g/t over 0.85 m): 53.70 m-79.50 m (0.20 g/t over 25.8 m) (Assessment File 42L03NW2006).
