Mineralization Comments

Apr 30, 2019 (Therese Pettigrew) - The Frenche Lake Horizon consists of intercalated altered basalt and rhyolite with a 10 cm Cu-rich stringer zone consisting of 0.82% Cu and 0.03% Zn within 1 m of the contact. Alteration consisted of biotite-cordierite-anthophyllite in the mafics and sericite-cordierite-biotite +/- andalusite in the felsics. Stringer mineralization in the footwall basalts and hanging wall altered felsics consisted of 2-7% stringer and bleb pyrrhotite-pyrite +/- chalcopyrite +/- sphalerite. Most of the anomalous metal-bearing mineralized zones in the basalts were associated with altered zones and/ore were proximal to 3 of the 5 quartz-feldspar porphyry/felsic dykes intruding them, with assays of up to 1.1% Cu and 0.25% Zn (Assessment report 42D14NW8293).
