Mineralization Comments

Apr 30, 2019 (Therese Pettigrew) - Mineralization in the lower pillowed basalts of the Corvette Lake basalts consists of 2-5% stringer sulphides, several metres thick. The stringer pyrrhotite-magnetite +/- pyrite +/- sphalerite locally appeared to occur as interpillow sulphides, yet often were associated with narrow silica haloes with up to 168 ppm Cu and 6760 ppm Zn over 0.25 m and 413 ppm Cu and 152 ppm Zn over 1.10 m (Assessment report 42D14NW8293). Samples from DDH VL-2 drilled by Noranda in 1984 assayed up to 2600 ppm Cu and 350 ppm Zn over 1.0 m and 1500 ppm Cu and 7000 ppm Zn over 0.5 m (Assessment report 42D14SW0033).
