05/17/2019 (T Pettigrew) - The mineralized zone is composed of 3-4 layers of iron sulphide, 0.5-5 m thick. Layers rich in iron sulphide are separated by garnet-mica-quartz schist. The iron sulphides in these zones are many pyrrhotite and pyrite. Gangue minerals are quartz, mica, garnet, and cordierite showing moderate magnetism and strong surface oxidation. The content of the sulphide varies a lot, usually 10-30% and in some cases can reach as high as 60-80%. Sample WL77 assayed 2160 ppm Cu, 151 ppm Zn. Sample WL79 assayed 5700 ppm Cu, 2460 ppm Zn. Sample WL82 assayed 1520 ppm Cu, 7590 ppm Zn. These samples were collected along a line approximately 450 m long and with a strike of 10 degrees, midway between the south end of Winston Lake and Cleaver Lake, and north of Pick Lake. This showing generally relates to the VTEM anomaly C18 (Assessment file 20000007489).
