Location Method: Data Compilation

Access Description: Access is via Oliver Road 15.3 km west from highway 11/17 to the driveway of Hills Greenhouses. The shaft is located amongst the greenhouses and office/shop buildings on the property and is currently being used as a water well.



Exploration History

1889: Shaft sunk to 41.1 m (135 feet) with levels at 60 feet (18.3 m) and 123 feet (37.5 m). A 75-foot (22.9 m) drift had been excavated on the first level and a 25-foot (7.6 m) drift was excavated on the second level. Four test pits had also been dug, 3 to the west-northwest of the shaft, following the trend of the vein, and a fourth to the southeast of the shaft, in unmineralized rock. No assessment files were found on record.
