Lithology Comments

Aug 27, 2019 (Therese Pettigrew) - The Nym Lake intrusion is thought to be composed of a single intrusive body which is variably composed of gabbro with lesser peridotite phases. The mineralization is restricted to the ultramafic units although sulphide-magnetite bearing mafic phases are common. PGE-bearing units typically contained a pyrrhotite-chalcopyrite sulphide assemblage in contrast to the barren pyrite mineralized units (Assessment report 20000013652).

Mineralization Comments

Aug 27, 2019 (Therese Pettigrew) - Highlights from the 1999 Band Ore program include grab samples from a pyrrhotite (0.5%) and chalcopyrite (0.5%) mineralized peridotite outcrop which assayed 2988 ppb Pt+Pd, 0.45% Cu, 861 ppm Ni, and 0.3 g/t Au (Assessment report 52B11NW2005). DDH NL-99-1 returned 609 ppb Pt+Pd (321 ppb Pd + 288 ppb Pt) over 1.1 m. DDH NL-99-2 returned 655 ppb Pt+Pd (355 ppb Pd + 300 ppb Pt) over 1.4 m (Assessment report 52B11NW2003). The best results from the 2013 prospecting and sampling program were up to 0.918 ppm Pt, 0.567 ppm Pd, 3061 ppm Cu, and 1519 ppm Ni (Assessment report 20000013652).
