09/12/2019 (T Pettigrew) - Channel sampling of the No. 6 vein in 1937 returned values of up to $277.20 (7.96 oz Au/ton or 272.9 g Au /t) over 16 to 30 inches (0.40-0.76 m) (Assessment report 20000015738). An old trench at the 1400' occurrence exposes an east-west trending shear with narrow quartz-sulphide veins cutting altered plagioclase-hornblende porphyry. Sampling of one of the quartz-sulphide veins by Aurora yielded 107.5 g/t Au, 10.45% As, 385 ppm Co, 310 ppm Cu,and 4.88% Zn and 154.2 g/t Au, 13.85% As, 524 ppm Co, 370 ppm Cu, and 3.72% Zn from a 0.3 m wide quartz-sulphide vein (samples 174613 and 174615). These results are comparable to past sampling by FRI, which yielded 167 g/t Au (5.36 ounces of Au per ton) and 123.3 g/t Au (3.98 ounces of Au per ton) from grab samples and 10.3 g/t Au over 5.9 m in a channel sample (Novak, 1985 and 1986). The vein sampled in the current program, with an orientation of 094/87S to 104/86S, contains approximately 50% grayish quartz and 50% crudely banded sulphides, with pyrite>pyrrhotite>>arsenopyrite>chalcopyrite>sphalerite. An alteration envelope with a width of 1.5 to 2.0 m around the vein contains strongly sheared and silicified plagioclase-hornblende porphyry with 1 to 2% very fine-grained pyrite-pyrrhotite (Assessment report 53J08NW2001).
