Lithology Comments

Dec 12, 2019 (Sheree Hinz) - The Clay Property is located in the Larder Lake section of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt, more specifically within the Cadillac- Larder Break (The Ivan Larder Fault, a conjugate fault of the Cadillac - Larder Break crosses south section of the property). Rock units within the greenstone belt belong to the Abitibi Subprovince and are mostly Archean in age. The Instant Pond Zone is underlain by pillowed and massive basalt flows, diorite and gabbro. The mafic metavolcanic and plutonic units have been intruded by feldspar porphyry dikes, syenite and diabase dikes.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 12, 2019 (Sheree Hinz) - The gold mineralization in the Instant Pond Zone crosses 3 different rock types: diorite, basalt and gabbro. Visible gold was found in pillow salvages within the T-trench dug by Goldstake Explorations Inc. in 2007. Mineralization consists of native gold, chalcopyrite, pyrite, and minor amounts of bornite. A high-grade gold intersection was discovered in drill hole IP-05-11 which consists of 33.3 g/t Au over 9.8m. A grab sample from the T-trench taken by Resident Geologist Program staff in 2019 gave returns of 3.5 g/t Au and 0.49% Cu.
