09/30/2020 (T Pettigrew) - Sample MBW-034-V3-SS returned 5.525 ppm Au, 130 ppm Ag, and 13,250 ppm Cu from a shear with silicate-sulphide and massive (25% sulphides), 1% chalcopyrite, and trace arsenopyrite. Sample MBW-034-V3-G returned 0.368 ppm Au, 25.4 ppm Ag, and 37,500 ppm Cu from a shear with a gossan and a 5 cm wide quartz vein, 10% pyrite, 1% chalcopyrite, and trace arsenopyrite. Sample MBW-034-V5 returned 1.035 ppm Au, 66.5 ppm Ag, and 29,200 ppm Cu from a shear with 25% pyrite. The outcrop these samples were taken from is about 10 m x 10 m and appears to be an old stripped area. The outcrop is mafic rocks that have undergone moderate to intense silicification. Near the shears, the alteration style changes to potassic alteration, resulting in the development of biotite schists extending up to a meter from the shears (Assessment report 20000005853). Samples collected in 2002 returned up to 2.95 g/t Au over 1.0 m from a quartz vein containing up to 15% pyrite and 2-3% chalcopyrite (Assessment report 52M01SE2025).
