Mineralization Comments

Apr 01, 2022 (Therese Pettigrew) - A single subangular to subrounded 30 cm to 40 cm diameter heavily mineralized gabbro boulder was found approximately 150 m southwest of Anomaly A at UTM coordinate 318029E, 5468656N. Sample 54330 contained about 10% disseminated medium grained to blebby textured mixed sulphide mineralization, with the largest bleb observed approaching 1.5 cm by 2.5 cm. The grab sample returned values of 0.49% Cu, 0.22% Ni, 63 ppb Au, 55 ppb Pt, and 342 ppb Pd. Although the rock is likely not attributable to the nearest up-ice airborne EM anomaly, it is believed to have a bedrock source lying somewhere reasonably nearby i.e. within a distance of only a few kilometres at most, as opposed to a few tens of kilometres (Assessment report 52H06NW2004).
