Oct 04, 2022 (Therese Pettigrew) - The Joy property is generally overlain by overburden cover up to 30 m in thickness. Interpretation of geology is based largely on ground geophysics, diamond drilling, and limited outcrop on the northern portion of the property. The Joy Property is underlain by an east-west to east-northeast trending, steeply south dipping sequence of volcanic rocks which consist of undifferentiated, strongly altered and metamorphosed felsic to intermediate pyroclastics and subvolcanic quartz-feldspar porphyritic intrusives. This sequence is underlain to the north by basalt flows, and has been intruded to the south by regional granitic to granodiorite intrusives. The volcanic rocks are representative of the third cycle of volcanism of the Confederation Lake Volcanic Belt. The volcanic rocks exhibit widespread hydrothermal alteration mineral assemblages consisting of chlorite-biotite-sericite-cordierite garnet ± anthophyllite. The observed alteration mineral assemblages are consistent with hydrothermally altered volcanics typical of a VMS mineralizing environment which have been overprinted by a strong (ie upper greenschist-lower amphibolite) regional metamorphic event (Assessment report 52K14NE2015).

Oct 04, 2022 (Therese Pettigrew) - The Joy property host several zones of Cu-Zn rich massive to stringer sulphide mineralization localized along at least two stratigraphic horizons within the felsic pyroclastic volcanics. The northern horizon hosts the Joy-Diamond Willow-Creek zones over a 2.3 km strike length while the southern horizon hosts the South and Caravelle zones. The former is characterized by Cu-rich Zn mineralization, while the latter is characterized by Zn-rich mineralization with little or no Cu enrichment (Assessment report 52K14NE2015). DDH 150-24-2 returned 17.17% Zn, 0.28% Cu, and 0.28 oz/t Ag over 1.9 feet at a depth of 163.4 feet from an intermediate silicified biotitic tuff with massive pyrite-sphalerite with quartz-chlorite inclusions, and is estimated at 30% pyrite and 30% sphalerite. DDH 15-24-7 returned 8.36% Zn, 0.17% Cu, and 0.13 oz/t Ag over 0.8 feet at 224.8 feet depth from fine-trained pyrite sphalerite in intermediate-felsic tuff (Assessment report 52K15NE0206).
