Mineralization Comments

Jul 18, 2023 (Therese Pettigrew) - The Alder Pegmatite (617531E 5395788N), located approximately 1.5 km east of the Maple Leaf Dike, is hosted within a gneissic-like mafic intrusion. The pegmatite is reported to be about 50 to 60 m wide, striking east-northeast at 70° and dipping 75° south. The pegmatite exhibits feldspars up to 70 cm in size. Sample B418731, collected from the mafic host rock at the contact on the north side of the pegmatite, returned 1300 ppm Li and 116 ppm Cs. Sampling of coarse-grained green muscovite from the Alder Pegmatite area returned 1880 ppm Li and 156 ppm Cs from sample B418727 and 1290 ppm Li and 63.1 ppm Cs from B418904 (Campbell et al., 2023).
