Exploration History

1968: Nakina Mines Ltd. carried out ground geophysics (electromagnetic, mangetometer). 1975: Falconbridge Nickel Mines Ltd. carried out airborne geophysics (electromagnetic, magnetometer. 1979: Cominco Ltd carried out geological mapping. 1984-1985: Kerr Addison Mines Ltd. carried out geological mapping, geochemistry, and ground geophysics (Induced polarization, magnetometer, electromagnetic very low frequency). 1987-1988: Kerr Addison Mines Ltd. carried out 5 diamond drill holes totaling 653.78 m and airborne geophysics (electromagnetic, magnetometer, electromagnetic very low frequency). 2020-2023: A.J.R. Pleson, B. Kuzmich, N. Brandon, and Silver Spruce Resource Inc. completed prospecting, LiDAR compilation and interpretation, airborne geophysics (magnetometer, radiometric, electromagnetic very low frequency).

Jan 03, 2024 (Sheree Hinz) - Drill hole KAN2-01 sunk by Kerr Addison Mines Ltd in 1987 intersected sericitized felsic and intermediate tuffaceous schist with 5-7% disseminated pyrite.

Mineralization Comments

Jan 03, 2024 (Sheree Hinz) - The drill hole was to test the down-dip continuation of a 0.44 oz/t Au over 0.7m located in a surface trench. The highest gold assay found in the 1987 drill hole KAN2-01 was 265 ppb Au.
