Jan 11, 2024 (Barun Malty) - The Buck Lake property is a volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) target in the Batchewana greenstone belt (BGB) of the Canadian Shield. The Buck Lake Property is underlain by mafic and felsic volcanic rocks which trend NNW and dip steeply to the northeast. The property covers 3 known mineralized zones: the Noranda, El Carmen and Goulais River zones. Each area has multiple mineralized showings comprising pyrite, pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite and sphalerite in trenches and/or drill holes, and are often associated with exhalite horizons Sandra Breccia Claim. Historical drilling results in the north-northwest trending Noranda zone (within BLOC), associated with recently identified VLF-EM anomalies and previous soil survey results, were used to target this area for further prospecting.
Jan 11, 2024 (Barun Malty) - The lithological units intersected by diamond drilling include greywacke, agglomerate, agglomerate/tuff, tuff/breccia, tuff, mafic volcanic lava flow, mafic dike, cherty agglomerate, lamprophyre dike, volcanic exhalite, felsic tuff, mafic tuff-agglomerate and mafic volcanic lava flow.

Jan 11, 2024 (Barun Malty) - Quartz and quartz-calcite veins and sulphide mineralization were intersected during diamond drilling. Massive and semi-massive to disseminated and banded sulfides returned anomalous copper, zinc, silver, and gold. In 2022, prospecting in the Noranda zone revealed areas of VMS-style mineralization comprising zones of massive to semi-massive pyrite ± pyrrhotite with variable amount of copper and zinc (AUHI, news release, December 1, 2022). The follow-up program consisted of stripping of 14 areas with known VLF-EM anomalies that exposed zones of massive-textured bands of pyrite ± pyrrhotite with varying proportion of chalcopyrite and sphalerite up to 3 m wide. Channel sampling in 10 of those stripped areas, for a total of 89 samples, returned assay values up to 1.58% Cu and 4.93% Zn (AUHI, news release, December 1, 2022). Recent diamond drilling in 15 holes, totaling 2543 m and covering an area of known VLF-EM anomaly over a horizontal distance of 500 m and to a depth of 140 m, revealed zones of massive to semi-massive sulphides between 0.5 to 14.0 m in thickness in 13 of the drill holes. The drilling intersected pyrite, pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite and sphalerite along with silicious exhalite and chlorite alteration in the zones of mineralization (Figure 31; AUHI, news release, November 7, 2022). A total of 688 samples from 15 drill holes were assayed, with results returning a maximum value of 4.6% Cu over 3.1 m in a 11.75 m zone of mineralization that also consists of 1.21 g/t Au and 56.8 g/t Ag in drill hole BL-22-06 (AUHI, news release, and December 21, 2022). The latest assay results released from all the drill core samples also reveal up to 0.80% Zn over 1.9 m (hole BL-22-01) and 18.1 g/t Ag over 5.65 m that also contains 96.5 g/t Ag over 0.70 m (AUHI, news release, April 12, 2023).
