Mar 21, 2017 (A Wilson) - The limestone contains white calcite crystals which fluoresce pink in "short" ultraviolet light. Gypsum occurs as colourless to white crystals and in massive form. Galena and yellow to orange sphalerite are associated with both of these minerals. White chert nodules occur in limestone. The limestone is interbedded with shale and belongs to the Lockport Formation of Silurian age.
