Dec 07, 2005 (M Barua) - The two quarries (one closed) expose 19 m of Middle Silurian section consisting of 13.1 m grey-brown, fine to med-crystalline, thin-bedded dolostone of Eramosa Member, shaly partings releases petroliferous odour; 6.28 m of Vinemount Shale beds, grey, shaly dolostone, fine crystalline, med-bedded. Chert and gypsum nodules are present and the unit has distinct petroliferous odour.
