Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - The 3 m deep quarry exposes limestones of the Lindsay Formation - thinly-bedded, rather soft limestone and calcareous shale; very fossiliferous (brachiopods, gastropods, bryozoans and burrows). The Picton Fault occurs just E of the quarry. Sampled 1917. Not a good building stone.
