Point Location Description: Quarry symbol 0.75 km N of Spring Valley.
Location Method: Conversion from MDI
Access Description: 2.5 km W of Tincap.
1985 : licenced (for 21 ha) and opened by G. Tackaberry and Sons Construction Ltd. The quarry covered about 2 ha in 1989, operating on a single lift of 6 m. The quarry procuces garnular 'A' and 'B'.
Province: Paleozoic and Mesozoic Basins
Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - The quarry exposes 6.0 m of fine-medium grained dolostones of the Oxford Formation. They are grey-brown, medium bedded with calcitic vugs in places. Overburden is thin, trace-30 cm. Location Le-18 (OGS 1979) at the quarry, was drilled by MTO to 12 m (no record available) and the dolomitic sandstone was found to be impure.
