Nov 29, 2013 (A Wilson) - The face of the quarry exposes a 12.45 m section of sandy Beekmantown dolostone. Brown dolostone and grey mottled glauconitic dolomitic sandstone are interbedded. The upper unit consists of medium-bedded, brown sandy dolostone and interbedded grey mottled glauconitic sandstone. The lower part of the face consists of medium brown, thin- to medium-bedded dolostone with white calcite spots. The sandstones consist of fine- to coarse-grained, well-rounded, well-sorted, quartz arenite.

Mineralization Comments

Nov 29, 2013 (A Wilson) - Chip samples taken from the face of the quarry between 10.9 and 22 ft above the quarry floor assayed: 26.9% SiO2, 0.56% Fe2O3, 2.87% Al2O3, 9.95% MgO and 26.3% CaO. Chip samples taken from the face of the quarry between 3 and 10.9 ft above the quarry floor assayed: 21.0% SiO2, 0.56% Fe2O3, 3.39% Al2O3, 12.0% MgO and 26.7% CaO. Samples were collected by the Ontario Department of Mines.
