Point Location Description: Quarry symbol 2.5 km SE of Rows Corners.
Location Method: Conversion from MDI
Access Description: 3 km NE of Brockville, just S of Hwy 401, in lots 3-4, con 1.
Circa 1989 : operated by Dibblee Construction Co Ltd, a division of the Warren Paving and Materials Group Ltd, and licenced for 37.7 ha. Partially water-filled in 1989 and only 5.6 m exposed. This may be the same quarry as the Dyer quarry - on lots 4-5, described in 1912 and 1938. See MDI31B12SE00006, ' Dyer'.
Province: Paleozoic and Mesozoic Basins
Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - Oxford Formation dolostones - light grey, fine-grained and medium-bedded (20-30 cms). Some beds contain minor amounts of medium-coarse quartz grains. These beds are similar to those exposed in the upper part of the Permanent Concrete quarry, 1 km to the S. Overburden is generally < 2m thick. Section LQ BR-4 (OGS 1991) is from the Warren Quarry. DDH # GDH BR-4, 5 (MTO 1981) are also from this area, on lots 3 and 4.
