Point Location Description: Quarry pond just N of Windmill Point.
Location Method: Conversion from MDI
Access Description: 1 ml E of Prescott, between the river and the road.
Pre 1912 : extensively worked prior to 1912 (Mrs. Plumb) and at the limit of the road allowance. Stone was used as rough building stone. The face is about 30 ft. The small quarry described in 1917 (# 193) may or may not have become part of this property.
Province: Paleozoic and Mesozoic Basins
Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - A dark brown, hard, dolomitic limestone (Oxford / Beekmantown Formation) in beds 4-16 inches thick. Some large calcite crystals. Sampled in 1912 and the section described in 1922.
