Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (D Laidlaw) - Quarry is over 30 m deep and when dry exposes limestones of the Gull River and Bobcaygeon Formations.

Aug 09, 2023 (Mateo Dorado-Troughton) - Personal communication from a past quarry manager indicates the presence of "a crumbly green rock crosscutting the limestone" visible in the quarry walls. This could be an ultramafic dike related to the nearby Jurassic-aged Picton and Varty dikes, but it is unsubstantiated.
