Point Location Description: Au symbol just west of Moira River and 0.6 km south of Hwy 7.

Location Method: Conversion from MDI

Access Description: At the junction of Hwy 7 and the Deloro/KOA road, turn south. Drive 0.62 km on this road and turn left. At 1.82 km is a gate and a lane heading north. The Malone area is just north-west of this lane entrance.



Exploration History

1895: Crescent Gold Company of Montreal operated at this site. A 60 foot shaft from which 100 tons of auriferous arsenical ore was treated. The average yield was 0.60 oz Au/ton.
