Point Location Description: Precise, Shaft just north of property symbol 43 on W-shore of Moira Lake.
Location Method: Conversion from MDI
Access Description: Drive 1.4 km west of Hwy 62 on Hwy 7. Turn left and drive 1.2 km. Turn right and drive 0.7 km. Turn left(S) and drive 1.4km. Do not turn right; take left fork and continue for 640m. Ask permission at house. Walk N from gate N of house for 136m.
1917 and 1918: Charles Henrotin shipped several carloads of fluorspar from an open-cut on a vein optioned from Messrs. Gillen and Henderson. 1943: Wood Land Mineral Company sank a shaft on the vein to 30 feet and small amount of ore was recovered. Reliance Fluorspar Mining Syndicate Limited also investigated the deposit; several drillholes were put down, little mining was undertaken.
