Mineralization Comments

Jun 21, 2010 (D Laidlaw) - Taylor pit: this is the type location for more than half of the 17 lead sulfantimonides and sulfosalts that have been identified at the site, including madocite and veenite. Boulangerite, geocronite, guettardite, jamesonite, launayite, playfairite, robinsonite, semseyite sorbyite, sterryite, twinnite, zinckenite are also present. Mineralization is in marble as stringers and disseminated grains in an area about 8.5m long an 1.5m wide. Sphalerite, pyrite and arsenopyrite are also present. The occurrence ia adjacent to a small mass of albite granite, possibly related to the Moira Lake Granite (Jambor 1967).
