Stone used for local buildings and Roman Catholic church at Marysville was quarried from the banks of the Salmon River, just below the road bridge. (DEMR/CANMET 1938, p93).

Dec 07, 2005 (D Laidlaw) - Limestone is dense-textured, dove-grey in colour, and lies in flat beds 3 to 9 inches in thickness (DEMR/CANMET #781, p93).
