Point Location Description: Point just S of Odessa.
Location Method: Conversion from MDI
Access Description: On the S side of Hwy 2 (opposite the old schoolhouse).
A small quarry was reported here in 1938, though it may not have active at this time. Sample # 83 was taken. Probably used for local building stone in early years, but used more for aggregate later. Property covers about 12.2 acres and the quarry floors and walls are well-covered in vegetation. No faces - all areas have been stripped of the loose shale on the surface to a depth of about 2 ft.

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - Gull River Formation brown, lithographic, thinly-bedded limestone with interbedded shale.
