Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - The granite weathers light pinkish white, while the fresh surface is pink in colour. The grain size is medium to coarse while the texture is foliated to massive. The joint pattern tends to be limited and regular allowing potential quarry block size to be in the nature of 2 m by 2 m by 1.5 m. A trace of pyrite was noted along with chlorite in chloritic seams. Quartz veining is discontinuous and boudinaged in the outcrop. A weak fabric was noted where mafic minerals were aligned.
