Point Location Description: Point 4.1 km NE of Battersea.
Location Method: Conversion from MDI
Access Description: From the intersection of Highway #401 and Montreal Road, (at Kingston), interchange #619, drive north to Battersea, Ontario on County road # 11. From Battersea proceed 4.1 km north to the quarry site located on the east side of the road, approximately 50 feet from the travelled portion of the road.
The history of the old quarry is unknown.

Geological Age: Mesoproterozoic
Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - The granite weathers brownish - buff in colour while the fresh surface is pink. The grain size is medium to coarse while the texture is foliated. The joint patterns tend to be limited to moderate and are regular allowing block sizes in the 2m by 2m by 1m range. Pyrite was noted in the hand samples and is associated with the mafics in the granite. A fine grained mafic dyke, 10 cm wide was noted in the outcrop. A moderate to strong fabric was also noted in outcrop.
