Mineralization Comments

Feb 20, 2013 (A Wilson) - The sand was of a granularity that was suitable for foundry sand. The company had difficulty in reducing the chromium content to acceptable levels for glass sand. A typical analysis of the sand ran 98.03% SiO2, 1.00% Al2O3, 0.26 Fe2O3, 0.06% FeO, 0.12% CaO 0.06% MgO. The quarried rock was used for cement, but because of its abrasiveness, it is no longer employed. At present there is 200,000 Tonnes of crushed rock stockpiled at this site.
