Sep 10, 2015 (A Wilson) - The rock is part of the Rideau Lake monzonite pluton. This is a brownish-orage biotitie granite which is extensively weathred. Along the 100 m outcrop, aplite dikes, quartz veins, pegmatite and mafic inclusions were observed. The high biotite content limits the potential of this rock for building stone development. The horizontal sheeting is less than 10 cm over much of this site.
