Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - An exposed area of Potsdam Sandstone, about 4,000 ft long by 800-200 ft wide. Exept for a 35 ft cliff ( due E of Chaffey's Locks ) the sandstone is only about 10-15 ft thick. Samples from this cliff and Barrel Point ( OGS 1946 ) - averaged in section ' Le-9 ' ( OGS 1979 ).
