Access Description: North of eastern half of Fourteen Island Lake.
1925 - 1929: actively mined by Verona Quarries Ltd., of Hamilton, Ontario. Production is stated to have been at the rate of 2,000 to 3,000 tons per year. Most of the production was from a large pit, 250 by 40 by 80 feet deep. (DEMR/CANMET #731, p40).
