Point Location Description: Point 2.9 km SE of Cooper.
Location Method: Conversion from MDI
Access Description: The general area of the occurrences is accessed via a concession road to the east of the hamlet of Cooper to the Black River then south along the river towards Queensborough for 3 km.
1982: Roger Young of Havelock diamond drilled these talc showings. 1985: Twin Buttes Exploration performed additional drilling. This drilling indicated a possible 2 million-ton talc deposit to a depth of 30m. A report by Twin Buttes indicated 2.2 million tonnes in the Cooper West Zone and 780,000 tonnes in the Cooper East Zone, both grading 30 to 33% recoverable talc. (OFR 5714, p147).
