Point Location Description: Quarry just east of property symbol 36 W of Madoc and N of Hwy 7.
Location Method: Conversion from MDI
Access Description: Drive 1.44 km west on Hwy 7 from Hwy 62. Turn left and drive 0.08 km (just before first house on left at small rise in road).
1934 to 1939: Canada Slate Products Limited operated the quarry. 1936 and 1937: Crespey Slate Products were the operators. August 2001: DSG visited the site and GPS'd location: N 44.50310 deg, W 77.50009 deg (N 4930885 E 301249 NAD 27).

Dec 07, 2005 (D Laidlaw) - August 24, 2001: Field visit by DSG, grey coloured slate with red hemititic weathering. Slaty cleavage was measured at N65 deg E/ 83 deg SSE.
