Aug 14, 2024 (Therese Pettigrew) - The Miller iron mine was operated in lot 12, concession VI, Madoc township, in 1898. There was an open pit 34 feet deep with a 38-foot shaft in the bottom of the pit. The ore is red hematite (Hewitt, 1968).
