Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - 86-ELZ-002 : Elzevir Granite. Grey-white granodiorite, very fine-medium-grained, massive to foliated with an irregular, intensive system of joints. There is a wide variation in texture and colour - to the W is massive, medium-grained biotite granodiorite, to the E it is fine-grained and foliated. There is quartz veining and felsic stringers. Low potential for quarry blocks.
