Circa1898 : a small quantity of blue marble was quarried. Exposure is limited. Sample # 4 (1938) is probably from here.
Province: Grenville
Geological Age: Mesoproterozoic
Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - A blue marble, said to resemble that from Gouverneur (New York) and Lanark. It is 'somewhat blebby on the exposed surface and has a tendancy to split along the planes of banding' (1912). The banding is distinct and the unit has a vertical dip.
