Exploration History

1957: Triana Exploration Limited examined copper and nickel mineralization in the southern half of the claim group by means of a magnetometer survey which also covered the northern half of the claim group and parts of lot 4, concessions III and IV, by sinking 10 shallow trenches and by drilling a few holes with a packsack diamond-drill (175 feet). Spring of 1967: Louada Exploration and Development Co. Ltd. drilled 3 holes ranging in depth from 106 to 124 feet in the north halves of lot 2 and 3, concession III, about 400 feet north of the most northerly trench put down by Triana in these lots. (Res. Geol. 1986 Field Report and OFR 5548, p149).
