Access Description: 0.4 km south of Wolfe Lake.
Great Indian Exploration: Res. Geol. File 9, property report by J.D. McCannell, August 1970 recommended exploration for base metals over claim block (Concession 1, 2 and 3, part lots 9, 10, 11) because of favourable host rock associated with several nearby occurrences of lead, zinc, copper and nickel. Res. Geol. File 15, December 1970, EM survey over claim block indicated 2 conductor zones, one between Wolf Lake and the west boundary of the claims group and the second south of Wolfe Lake. Res. Geol. File 14, January-February 1971 - 4 diamond drill holes. Hole 2 directed towards shaft of Blackburn Occurrence (see MDI31C12NE00117). Only indication of chalcopyrite mineralization is in hole 4, located in concession 1, lot 11. Drill log mentions 3 inch white quartz with blebs of pyrite and chalcopyrite up to 5%. No assays were shown in report. Minor pyrite and cpy noted in other holes.
