Location Method: Field Visit with GPS
Access Description: From the hamlet of Oak Lake, travel north on County Road 46 for approximately 10 km. The deposit is located approximately 200 m east of County Road 46.
Pre 1956: prospect pits on showing of ilmenite, magnetite and hematite in lot 8 concession 3, H.F. Taylor drilled 9 shallow diamond drill holes. 1969-Harold White (White, Brown, Regan S, Tripp): 29 diamond drill holes totaling 1247 metres and assays 1981-1983: Canadian Nickel Company Limited/Inco Limited Field Exploration. Work on property includes open cuts and extensive diamond drilling, ground geophysics and assays. Definition of a reserves of 13.2 million tons of Titanium oxide. 2000-2008: Trigan Resources Inc. Quarrying operations to exploit the gabbro surrounding the ilmenite. 2008: drilling of 15 vertical percussion drill holes to define the eastern limits of the ilmenite mineralization, sampling and assays.

Aug 22, 2016 (L Hall) - Proterozoic metavolcanic and metasedimentary rocks of the Elzevir Terrane are intruded by a pair of small, oval, mafic plutons. The titanium deposit occurs on the eastern margin of the eastern-most pluton.

Feb 27, 2019 (Sheree Hinz) - The titanium deposit is hosted in a cumulate gabbro norite rich in oxides near the eastern margin of the mafic Twin Lakes Intrusion. Historic Resource of 13 million tons of 21.7% Ti.

Notes: Three visits were made to the active trap rock quarry and the titanium dioxide prospect. Regional Resident and District geologists were accompanied by M. Anderson of Trigan Resources and D. Rogerson of MRT Aggregates. Samples of the titanium deposit and trap rock stock pile were collected.
