Access Description: Drive 6.2 km north of the junction of Hwy's 62 & 7 near Madoc. Turn west and drive 1.1 km on Hemitite Road to a T intersection. Then turn south or left and drive for 1.6 km to the stop sign. Turn right or west and drive for 0.5 km. The quarry is located on the north or right side of the road.
Was once intermittently active, now inactive ; Stoklosar Marble Quarries Limited produced terrazzo chips from limestone.

Dec 07, 2005 (D Laidlaw) - Gull River Formation, lower member - 1.75 m thick - limestone, light to dark reddish brown to light green. Shadow Lake Formation: 2.25 m thick - sandstone, reddish brown to light green.
