Point Location Description: Flooded quarry on satellite imagery
Location Method: Data Compilation
Access Description: Drive 10.4 km north of Madoc on Hwy #62 from the junction of Hwy's 7 and 62. The quarry is about 60 m in on the west side of the road.
Terrazzo chips are produced from deposits of buff, white, black and red Grenville limestone. The exposed width of the high-purity dolomite zone is about 30 m.

Jul 22, 2024 (Nazha Sabiri) - "Both calcitic and dolomitic marbles are exposed in the Calcitic marbles are white to grey and commonly banded, striking north to northwest and dipping eastward. They are fine to medium grained and may contain up to 30% siliceous impurities. The dolomitic units are fine grained, massive, buff to yellowish, and contain up to 20% impurities, predominantly quartz and tremolite with lesser amounts of phlogopite, talc, calcite, and hematite" (OFR5712, p. 86).
