Access Description: Drive 1.3 km west of Madoc on Highway 7. Drive 4.4 km north on County Road 23 from Highway 7 to T junction. Proceed 0.6 km west from corner. At bend (to N) in road.



Exploration History

Stoklosar Marble Quarries intermittently produced terrazzo chips from this quarry. 2022: Upper Canada Stone Company operates the quarry to produce building stone and aggregate. In 2022, the quarry was renamed to be the Clarence Quarry.

Dec 07, 2005 (D Laidlaw) - Gull River Formation, lower member: 7.0 m thickness. Limestone: light to dark reddish brown to light green.
