Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (D Laidlaw) - Red hematite and maghemite fragments are abundant in the basal Paleozoic conglomerate which overlies a Precambrian magnetite skarn deposit occurring in calcitic marble. (OFR 5751, p111).

Aug 01, 2024 (Nazha Sabiri) - Massive to disseminated magnetite in marble adjacent to the Deloro granite. The mineralized zone is 520 m long and 6 to 36 m wide. Ore assayed 63.80% iron, 0.23% antimony and 2.30% mangane. (MDC011, p. 159) Native antimony specimens, weighing 37 and 49 grams respectively, displaying brilliant cleavage surfaces and occurring as lamellar masses and stringers in calcite veins cutting magnetite ore body. Specimens assayed 99.89% antimony, with negligible amounts of arsenic (0.02%) trace iron as per an analysis conducted in 1903 (GSC AR 13R, p. 13).
